BD&E has been working with Gustavus Adolphus College for 15 years. Without doubt or reservation, we can confidently confirm that Gustavus students are boldly driven. It’s an inherent characteristic of a Gustie, a thread that has remained constant in an ever-changing world.

They expect an unparalleled education combined with an exceptional college experience—full of opportunity and emboldened by a close-knit community. That’s a lot for a private liberal arts college in Minnesota to consistently deliver.
When Gustavus asked us to build this year’s enrollment campaign, we drew upon years spent on campus, new insights from current stakeholders, and a deep dive into analytics. We watched student performances, sat in classrooms, and talked with students, faculty and alumni. The way we see it—Gustavus students want and get more out of college. They live their whole lives with passion and purpose.
Applications have increased 17%. Deposits for the class of 2024 are up 12%.
BD&E developed a multifaceted media strategy to convey these qualities to our client’s target audience and the world at large. With the main goal of driving applications, it was critical to reach and entice both prospective students and parents. We leveraged digital display, outdoor, point-of-sale, broadcast and social platforms.
