Mama DiPalma’s Traditional Holiday Stuffing Recipe
Melt 1/2 stick of butter in a large skillet.
Add two large onions, chopped into small cubes and sauté.
Add one bunch of chopped celery stalks (use entire stalk) and sauté.
Continue to sauté until onions and celery are very tender.
Fill one large Turkey roaster or vessel with 4 bags (12oz. each) of seasoned bread cubes
Add sautéd vegetables, mix well
Crack and Mix 2 eggs, pour over bread and vegetables, mix well
Melt 1-1/2 stick of butter and drizzle over while mixing
Add 2 tablespoons of Parsley, mix well
Add 3 tablespoons of Poultry Seasoning, mix well
Add total of 48 ounces of Chicken Broth in three separate pours
(mixing well with your hands in between pours)
You get the hint…MIX EVERYTHING VERY WELL to avoid pockets of soggy bread
Now the fun part: stuff that prepared 15-20 lb. bird!
Add remaining stuffing to perimeter, continue to baste with turkey, or use a separate covered casserole dish for baking.
