Several years back, the company underwent a huge corporate brand redevelopment, and is now one of the most recognizable brands, particularly in the northeast and southwestern Pennsylvania.
ATM and Credit Card Design
With credit cards and ATM cards rivaling all other marketing and advertising for “viewable impressions,” PNC looked to BD&E to make sure that these vehicles represent the PNC brand in a memorable and positive way.
PNC turned to BD&E to design a 2,380-square-foot green wall located at PNC’s headquarters in Pittsburgh. One of the largest living wall installations in the world, it is made from 602 panels of soil and plants, utilizing recycled irrigation engineering. The ultimate benefit is in the reduction of energy used to cool the building’s interior.

BD&E developed a brand standard program that integrated visual consistency through typography templates, color palettes and graphic treatments for divisions like PNC Wealth Management, which focuses on high-net worth customers.
